Problems solved by technology

However, the coating method using a solvent-based photochromic composition has problems in that it is difficult to increase the thickness due to the use of a solvent, and weather resistance and durability are poor
However, since the casting method should be performed in a batch manner, the continuity is reduced, so there is a limitation in the processing speed
In other words, in the casting method, although a film with high weather resistance can be produced without using a solvent, there is a problem of high processing cost

Embodiment 1

[0064] BP4PA and EHA were used as acrylate monomers in a weight ratio of 8:2. Based on 100 parts by weight of these acrylate monomers, 0.7 parts by weight of Palatinate Purple (manufactured by James Robinson Co., Ltd.) as a photochromic dye, 0.8 parts by weight of Tinuvin144 and 1.6 parts by weight of Tinuvin292 (manufactured by Ciba Geigy Co., Ltd.) as a light stabilizer, and 0.5 parts by weight of Igarcure 184 (manufactured by Ciba Geigy Co., Ltd.) as a photoinitiator, a photochromic composition having a viscosity of 155 cps was prepared.

[0065] The prepared photochromic composition is coated on an isolation film, and then covered with the isolation film to isolate oxygen.

[0066] The composition was cured for 3 minutes by inserting UV radiation of a 20W black UV lamp on the upper and lower parts of the composition between the above barrier films.

[0067] Next, the isolation film was removed to prepare a photochromic film with a thickness of 215 μm. The initial light t...

Embodiment 2

[0069] BP4PA, EHA and EGDMA were used as acrylate monomers in a weight ratio of 8:1:1. Based on 100 parts by weight of these acrylate monomers, 0.7 parts by weight of Palatinate Purple (manufactured by James Robinson Co., Ltd.) as a photochromic dye, 0.8 parts by weight of Tinuvin144 and 1.6 parts by weight of Tinuvin292 (manufactured by Ciba Geigy Co., Ltd.) as a light stabilizer, and 1 part by weight of Igarcure 184 (manufactured by Ciba Geigy Co., Ltd.) as a photoinitiator, a photochromic composition having a viscosity of 193 cps was prepared.

[0070] The prepared photochromic composition is coated on an isolation film, and then covered with the isolation film to isolate oxygen.

[0071] The composition was cured for 3 minutes by inserting UV radiation of a 20W black UV lamp on the upper and lower parts of the composition between the above barrier films.

[0072] Next, the isolation film was removed to prepare a photochromic film with a thickness of 180 μm. The weather r...

Embodiment 3

[0074] Except using BP4PA, THFA and EGDMA as acrylic monomers in a weight ratio of 8:1:1, the same process as in Example 2 was carried out to prepare a photochromic composition with a viscosity of 136 cps, thereby obtaining a thickness of 120 cps. Micron photochromic film.

Abstract

The present invention relates to a photochromic film and a manufacturing method thereof. According to the present invention, since a photochromic composition can be used as a solventless composition in a coating method, the photochromic composition facilitates the control of film thickness when compared with a coating method using an existing solvent-based composition or a casting method using a solvent-free composition, can be manufactured in large scale, and can provide a photochromic film having excellent durability and weather resistance thereby.

Description

technical field [0001] This application claims priority from Korean Patent Application No. 10-2011-0080098 filed on Aug. 11, 2011 and Korean Patent Application No. 10-2012-0087080 filed on Aug. 9, 2012 at the Korean Intellectual Property Office , the disclosures of these two patent applications are fully incorporated into this specification by reference. [0002] The present invention relates to a photochromic film and a method of manufacturing the film. More specifically, the present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a photochromic film by using a continuous process, and the photochromic film manufactured by the method. Background technique [0003] Photochromism refers to a reversible action of changing color by light irradiation and returning to the original color in the absence of light, and is used for various purposes. [0004] A method of coating a solvent-based composition is generally employed as a method of manufacturing a photochromic film. Howeve...
