Embodiment Construction
[0019] A laser device for treating skin in a highly compact handheld configuration has now been disclosed. In a preferred form, the device is wireless and meets electrical energy requirements through a rechargeable battery. Most beneficially, the flexible conductive connector arrangement between the printed circuit board and the laser achieves an optimal geometric configuration for the angle of the beam relative to the handle of the housing to produce a safer operation. For example, the first end of the housing that emits electromagnetic radiation may be bent by 100°-170° with respect to the handle area near the second end of the housing. Therefore, the user can simultaneously read the power level and the activation signal on the handle while pressing the first end against the face.
