Abstract

A novel electrode liquid metal electromagnetic flowmeter comprises U-type structural leading pipes and electrodes. Each electrode assembly is composed of one U-type structural leading pipe and one electrode. A pair of electrode assemblies are symmetrically welded to a metal pipeline. The metal pipeline and the U-type structural leading pipes are welded and communicated and can be filled with a liquid metal medium. One end of each electrode is connected with a signal lead and the other end of each signal lead is connected with a signal processor. When the liquid metal medium flows through the metal pipeline, an inductive electric signal is generated in the radial direction of the metal pipeline, and the electric signal sequentially passes through the liquid metal medium in the U-type structural leading pipes and the electrodes and is transmitted to the signal processor through the signal leads.
