The method comprises the steps of receiving a network configuration signal from a control console switching device, disconnecting the vehicle-level MVB networks to isolate all the vehicle-level MVB networks from one another, detecting target vehicles needing network configuration according to the network configuration signal, and connecting the MVB networks of the target vehicles so as to carry out network configuration on network devices in the target vehicles. The bus management device comprises a configuration switching interface unit, a vehicle switching interface unit, an MVB communication unit and a central processing unit, wherein the central processing unit switches off the relays in the target vehicles through the vehicle switching interface unit to be connected with the MVB communication unit and the MVB networks of the target vehicles so as to carry out network configuration on the network devices in the target vehicles.
