The system comprises an underwater CMOS camera, target searching equipment, an underwater cable and wireless transceiver, wherein the underwater CMOS camera is used for shooting an underwater image, the target searching equipment is connected with the underwater CMOS camera and used for processing the underwater image so as to identity the central position of an underwater target in the underwater image, and using the underwater image marked with the central position as a compound image to be sent to the wireless transceiver through the underwater cable, the wireless transceiver is used for sending the compound image to an underwater target searching platform at a far end in a wireless mode. Through the adoption of the system disclosed by the invention, the type, the shape and the central position of the underwater target can be automatically acquired under an underwater environment, and reliable reference data are provided for the underwater detection.
