Abstract

The invention discloses a method and system for performing conformance testing on OpenFlow protocols. The system comprises an abstract test suite module, an encoding and decoding module and an adapter module; the abstract test suite module includes a testing execution unit used for transmitting testing data of the OpenFlow protocols to be transmitted to the encoding and decoding module; the testing data are OpenFlow protocol data which are appointed by the abstract test suite module and used for being in communication with a tested system; the encoding and decoding module is used for encoding the testing data; the adapter module includes a data transmitting unit used for receiving the encoded testing data and transmitting the encoded testing data to a port of the tested system, wherein if received feedback message data are null or a timer unit timeout occurs, it is judged that a result fails; if a data packet of the feedback message is correct, the timer unit is shut down, and it is judged whether data need to be transmitted continuously or not or it is judged that the result is passed.
