Abstract

The electronic identification method includes shooting an area in through lane direction at the traffic intersection by the aid of a CMOS (complementary metal oxide semiconductor) visual sensor so as to obtain an image of the straight direction; adopting a detection zone image segmentation machine to segment a detection zone image from the straight-direction image within a preset red-light period in the through lane direction; employing a vehicle image segmentation machine to segment a moving vehicle image from the detection zone image; by the aid of a counter, calculating frame number of the moving vehicle image within the preset red light period; on the basis of the counting result of the counter, employing an embedded processor to determine whether or not a vehicle runs the red light within the preset red light period. The electronic identification method further includes adopting an image sharpening processor to perform defogging so as to eliminate influence of the hazy weather to the image. According to the arrangement, even under the hazy weather, electronic detection precision of the vehicle violation behaviors is guaranteed.
