Abstract

The invention discloses a method for detecting trace heavy metal ions in a water body. The method comprises the following steps: (1) ion enrichment: resin is added into a water sample to be monitored that contains trace heavy metal ions so as to adsorb trace heavy metal ions in a water body; (2) elution: resin obtained from the step (1) is added into an acid aqueous solution, heavy metal ions are eluted, and an eluant is collected; and (3) detection: aqueous alkali is used for neutralization, and a buffer solution and a developer aqueous solution are added; an ultraviolet and visible spectrophotometer is used for detection, and absorbance is recorded; absorbance is arranged and entered into software programming, and absorbance is analyzed by the software programming so as to obtain concentration of each ion in the water sample to be monitored that contains trace heavy metal ions. The method provided by the invention is simple and accurate, and can be used for carrying out resolution of UV overlapping peaks and more accurately detecting absorbance of various heavy metal ions so as to calculate concentration of metal ions in the water body.
