Abstract

The invention provides a method for replacing steering rolls of a cleaning segment of a continuous annealing unit, with strip steel. Before a steering roll is replaced, a supporting device which consists of supporting rods, two transverse supports and positioning pins is manufactured in advance for standby application. The method for replacing the steering rolls comprises the following steps: loosening the strip steel, and hoisting the strip steel away from the roll surface; placing the two supporting rods under a strip-steel movable sleeve; respectively placing two ends of each supporting rod on two lateral edges of the upper part of a cleaning box body; then, inserting inserted rods of the two transverse supports into two ends of each of the supporting rods respectively, and positioning the inserted rods by the positioning pins; connecting a demounted steering roll with a roll replacing vehicle; after fastening a top thread, hoisting the steering roll; backing the roll replacing vehicle out so as to drag out the steering roll; mounting a new steering roll by the roll replacing vehicle, and then hoisting the strip-steel movable sleeve by a crane; and removing the supporting device so as to complete the replacement of the steering roll.
