Abstract

An electric cooking appliance, particularly, a fryer, has a casing (1), a cooking support (2) resting removably on the casing (1), a heater (5) to heat the cooking support (2), a thermal fuse (6) slidably mounted with respect to two rods (7) carried by the casing (1) and arranged on the two sides of the thermal fuse (6), the thermal fuse (6) being biased by at least one elastic return element (60) against the cooking support (2). According to the invention, the two rods (7) are connected by a crossbar (8), and the thermal fuse (6) is slidably mounted between the casing (1) and the crossbar (8).
