Embodiment Construction

[0052] exist figure 1 The two laser diode bar arrangements 1a, 1b are shown in . The arrays 1a, 1b are arranged laterally offset one above the other, so that the bars 2 are arranged offset relative to each other. Each of the bars 2 generates a focused laser beam 3a, 3b. Considering simplicity, each of the arrangements 1a, 1b here comprises only two bars. When the array comprises more than two bars, the latter being regularly spaced, each bar array thus emits a regularly spaced set of laser beams. The first group of beams 3a generated by the bars 2 of the lower arrangement 1a is subjected to two successive orthogonal reflections: a first upwards reflection ensured by a succession of mirrors 4, followed by a series of mirror segments 5 (also called Segmented mirror) ensures a second reflection. The beam 3b of the upper laser diode bar arrangement 1b is not reflected.

[0053] The segments of the segmented mirror 5 cut the plane of propagation of the second set of beams 3b a...

Abstract

The invention relates to a laser apparatus including a plurality of laser modules, each generating a laser line at a working surface. Said laser modules are juxtaposed such that the laser lines generated by the modules combine into a single laser line. Each laser module includes at least one means for generating a laser line. Said laser apparatus is characterized in that the or each laser line generation means includes two alignments (1a, 1b) of laser diode arrays (2), each emitting a focused laser beam (3a, 3b). Both alignments (1a, 1b) are placed parallel to each other so that the arrays (2) are staggered. Both sets of parallel laser beams (3a, 3b), respectively generated by the two array alignments (1a, 1b), are joined into a single laser line (8) by means of a set of mirrors (4, 5). The alignments of laser diode arrays (1a, 1b) and mirrors (4, 5) are placed such that both sets of laser beams (3a, 3b) travel on an optical path of the same length before being joined into a single laser line (8).

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to a device for laser annealing of large-width substrates, which device is formed without specific restrictions from a plurality of laser modules that can be juxtaposed. Background technique [0002] It is known to perform localized and rapid laser annealing (laser flash heating) of coatings deposited on flat substrates. For this purpose, the substrate with the coating to be annealed is run under the laser line, or the laser line is run over the substrate bearing the coating. [0003] Laser annealing allows heating of thin cladding layers to high temperatures on the order of hundreds of orders of magnitude while preserving the underlying substrate. The travel speed is of course preferably as high as possible, advantageously at least several meters per minute. [0004] The invention is particularly concerned with lasers using laser diodes. From the point of view of its price and power, the latter currently constitutes the laser ...
