Abstract

The invention relates to a dispersion measuring method and system based on a high-resolution tunable optical filter in the field of optical fiber communication. The system comprises the high-resolution tunable optical filter based on stimulated Brillouin scattering or coherent detection, a phase difference measuring module and a digital signal processor (DSP) module. Two signal spectral lines of different frequencies are extracted from an optical signal to be measured after passing the high-resolution tunable optical filter, the phase different measuring module measures the phase difference between the two spectral lines of different frequencies, and the DSP module calculates the dispersion of signals according to the phase difference and frequency difference between the spectral lines.
