Abstract

The invention provides a well path petrological facies calibration method. The method comprises the steps of dividing a rock section of a selected standard well into petrological facies of different types according to preset stratum parameters to obtain a petrological facies division result of the standard well, and extracting the characteristic marks of each type of the petrological facies to obtain a characteristic petrological facies of the standard well; performing vertical projection on a well path of a horizontal section of a to-be-analyzed well and a well-logging curve to obtain a projection path and a projection well-logging curve; according to the projection well-logging curve and the petrological facies division result of the standard well and based on the characteristic petrological facies of the standard well, acquiring the petrological facies types which the projection path encounters in drilling and further determining the petrological facies which the well path of the horizontal section of the to-be-analyzed well penetrates, thereby acquiring the petrological facies calibration result of the well path of the horizontal section of the to-be-analyzed well. The method can determine petrological facies directly and accurately, select preferable fracturing sections rapidly, promote oriented or secondary fracturing and feed back optimized drilling steering and is of great importance for the exploration and development of unconventional resources.
