Abstract

The invention relates to a supercharger with exhaust gas recirculation. An engine, method, and system for supercharging charge air of an internal combustion engine are provided. The engine has an air intake, and a blower, wherein at least one impeller in the air intake is mounted on a rotating shaft. An exhaust gas recirculation line leads to the intake system upstream of the at least one impeller, forming a junction. A swing door pivotable about an axis running transversely with respect to the intake air flow has a first position, which blocks the air intake by the front side, and opens the EGR line; and a second position, which covers the EGR lines and opens the intake system, wherein the swing door is not planar and has at least one deformation due to unevenness at least on its front side.
