The method comprises: a power system optimal power flow model is established and a correlation algorithm parameter is set; original data are inputted and an initial population is generated; power flow calculation is carried out by using a Newton-Raphson method to obtain voltages of all nodes and power distribution in a power grid; fitness function values of all individuals in the population are calculated, and if the fitness value of a new individual is smaller than that of a previous generation individual, the new individual is used for replacing the previous generation individual; statistics of the number of the new individuals superior to the previous generation individual in all populations is carried out to obtain a population improvement rate that is used as a feedback value; a global optimal individual is kept and the populations are updated based on an updated formula of a cuckoo search algorithm; and whether a termination condition is met is determined; and if so, iteration is stopped and a final result is outputted.
