Abstract

The method comprises the steps of receiving a storage space reclaiming request sent by a main node in a distributed file system; determining files to be deleted in a data block according to file identifiers, copying file headers of the files to be deleted into a temporary file, and executing file hole adding processing on the files to be deleted; copying file headers, file data and file tails of the files not deleted in the data block into the temporary file; and replacing an original written file in the data block with the temporary file, thus completing reclaiming of the storage space of the data block. According to the method and the device provided by the invention, reclaiming of the storage space occupied by the deleted files is achieved by executing file hole adding processing, the storage positions of the files not deleted do not need to be changed, and utilization of an index file is not needed; the storage space reclaiming mode has good effect.
