The method comprises the following steps: a first browser converts to-be-transmitted webpage programming information into a unique corresponding character string and creates a unique corresponding character sign for the character string, writes the character sign in the url to transmit to a second browser, and sends corresponding character string to a server to save at the same time, and the server generates the unique corresponding character sign; the second browser reads the character sign in the url and sends the character sign to the server; the server compares with the received character sign with a generated character signal, and sends the unique corresponding character string of the same character sign to the second browser; and the second browser converts the received character string into the unique corresponding webpage programming information. The method disclosed by the invention is mainly used for the cross-browser transmission process of the webpage programming information.
