Abstract

The invention discloses a snapshot-storing copy-on-write processing system and method. The system comprises a snapshot module and a fast writing cache module, wherein the snapshot module is respectively connected with a source volume module and a target volume module; the fast writing cache module is located between the snapshot module and a host computer; the fast writing cache module is used for directly receiving a write operation signal when the write operation signal is sent by the host computer, sending a corresponding feedback signal to the host computer and sending the self-stored write operation signal to the snapshot module according to a degradation strategy of the fast writing cache module; and the snapshot module is used for performing copy-on-write according to the write operation signal sent by the fast writing cache module. When the write operation signal is sent by the host computer, the fast writing cache module directly sends the feedback signal to the host computer when the write operation signal is received by the fast writing cache module; seen from the host computer side, the write operation is completed at the moment, and the delay time is effectively reduced; and the write operation signal cached by the fast writing cache module is sent by the fast writing cache module to the snapshot module for copy-on-write, and the copy-on-write process of the snapshot module is not influenced.
