Abstract

The semispherical nodes are steel hemispheres. The spherical face of each semispherical node is provided with four symmetrical connection points. One ends of the four sandwich rods are connected with the connection points on one semispherical node on one metal panel, and a rectangular pyramid unit with the semispherical node as the vertex is formed. The other ends of the four sandwich rods are connected with the connection points on the four semispherical nodes on the other opposite metal panel, and the four semispherical nodes on the other opposite metal panel are used as new vertexes to form a new rectangular pyramid unit with the other three sandwich rods. The operation is cycled and repeated till a rectangular pyramid network structure is formed between the two metal panels.
