Embodiment 1

[0043] Bovine bones were collected, boiled in water at about 100°C for 2 hours to remove organic matter, washed, dried at 105°C for 2 hours, and pressed into powder. Abstract

The present invention discloses a composition for stabilizing soil contaminated with heavy metals and arsenic. The composition comprises livestock bone meal and starfish powder. The composition can be applied to the treatment of heavily soiled and arsenic contaminated soils so that the concentration of heavy metals and arsenic is significantly reduced even when used in small amounts. Thus, the composition can be widely used as a soil stabilizer. In addition, the composition is effective in preventing additional environmental pollution, and it ensures economic benefits due to its use of currently abandoned livestock bones and starfish as an abandoned natural resource. The present invention also discloses a method of stabilizing soil contaminated with heavy metals and arsenic using the composition.
