Abstract

The color projection display optical engine is characterized in that the display chip is a flat panel display and comprises three independent display regions which respectively display images of three color components of red, green and blue; the lighting unit comprises a red light source, a green light source and a blue light source which are respectively used for providing lighting for the three display regions of the display chip; the color combination unit comprises at least two light splitting devices; and the optical fiber image transmission device is used for transmitting an image of the display chip and enabling each display region to be identical in equivalent object distance to an imaging lens. The optical lens integrates advantages of a single-chip optical engine and a three-chip optical engine, a three-chip system is enabled to be turned into a single-chip system, the system is simplified, and advantages of good color restoration, high optical efficiency and high resolution of the three-chip optical engine are reserved at the same time.
