Abstract

The invention relates to a remote metering device and method for vehicle emission. CO, CO2 and C3H8 discharged by a gasoline car can be measured, and NO discharged by a diesel vehicle also can be measured. The device comprises a first device, a vehicle number plate identifying device, a speed measuring device, a master control device as well as a second device, wherein the first device is mounted in a box body on a portal frame above a road for measuring CO, CO2 and C3H8 discharged by the gasoline car; the speed measuring device is used for measuring the speed of the vehicle; the master control device is used for controlling and coordinating work of the modules; and the second device is arranged in the box body for measuring NO discharged by the diesel vehicle. The second device comprises a laser as an intermediate infrared light source, a rotary polygon prism for spatial scanning on laser and a concave mirror and a convex lens forming a receiving light path for increasing intensity of signal light.
