Abstract

The invention relates to an edge detail protection-based infrared image super-resolution reconstruction method and belongs to the image processing technical field. On the basis of a traditional POCS (projection onto convex set) reconstruction algorithm, the edge detail protection-based infrared image super-resolution reconstruction method is provided in order to solve the problem that the traditional POCS reconstruction algorithm heavily relies on high-resolution initial estimation images and ringing phenomena in reconstructed images. According to the method, a low-resolution image sequence is read; a high-resolution image initial estimation value is obtained through using an iterative curvature interpolation method; and the high-frequency detail region and smooth region of an infrared image are iteratively corrected through adopting different point spread functions, so that the edge oscillation effect of a reconstructed image can be decreased. With the method adopted, an image edge detail-well protected reconstruction result can be obtained.
