Abstract

The invention discloses a brake pad friction material composition and a preparation method thereof, and a brake pad. The brake pad friction material composition comprises a binding agent, a reinforcing material and a friction performance modifier. The binding agent comprises modified phenolic resin and silicone resin. The reinforcing material comprises aluminum silicate fiber, steel fiber, carbonfiber, aramid fiber, polybenzimidazole fiber, polyphenylene sulfide fiber and polytetrafluoroethylene fiber. The friction performance modifier comprises mullite whisker, silicon nitride, yttrium silicate, silicon carbide, boron nitride, silicon dioxide aerosol, titanium nitride and titanium carbide. The friction coefficient of the brake pad manufactured by the adoption of the brake pad friction material composition is high and stable in the braking process, the wear rate is small, and the brake pad has excellent heat stability, is low in noise and shakes little.
