Abstract

The invention provides a device for detecting a performance index of an electrorheological damper. The device comprises a host computer, a DC high voltage generator, a multifunctional data acquisitionmodule, a surge protector and a mechanical device test platform. The surge protector is externally connected with a voltage source to transmit a 24V DC voltage provided by the voltage source to the DC high voltage generator. The DC high voltage generator generates a 0-20 kV DC high voltage output according to the DC 24V voltage transmitted from the surge protector under the control of the host computer. Under the control of the host computer, the multifunctional data acquisition module performs control and data acquisition on the mechanical device test platform. The mechanical device test platform performs an electrorheological damping performance test under the control of the multifunctional data acquisition module. The device of the invention realizes that different voltage yield stress, response time, shear stress, current variable efficiency and response time of the electrorheology are equal to actual application performance indexes.
