Abstract

The invention relates to a flexible DC power transmission system power control method and a device thereof. The method comprises the following steps of acquiring rectifying-side anode DC voltage, rectifying-side cathode DC voltage, inverting-side anode DC voltage and inverting-side cathode DC voltage in the flexible DC power transmission system, thereby obtaining a determining result; on the condition of a determining result that the power at the inverting side is uncontrollable, restricting highest current amount of first active current and keeping the highest current amount of second activecurrent unchanged, wherein the first active current is the active current which is allowed for flow from a DC voltage ring to a converter valve in the inverting side, and the second active current isthe active current which is allow to flow from the DC voltage ring to an AC system in the inverting side. According to the method, when the power at the inverting side is uncontrollable, the active current which is allowed to flow from the DC voltage ring to the converter valve is restricted through suppressing the highest current value of the first active current, and highest output threshold ofthe active current is restricted, thereby preventing uncontrollable power or power inversion.
