The treatment apparatus comprises a cyclone dust collector, a pipelinemixer, a gaseous oxidant generator, an oxidation reaction device, an adsorption and preservation device and a fan, wherein the cyclone dust collector is connected with the oxidation reaction device through the pipeline mixer; the gaseous oxidant generator is connected with the oxidation reaction device through the pipeline mixer; the oxidation reaction device is connected with the adsorption and preservation device; and the outlet of the adsorption and preservation device is connected with the fan. The method comprises the following steps: dedusting the exhaust gas produced in production of modified asphalt with the cyclone dust collector at first; conveying the exhaust gas having been dusted by the cyclone dust collector and an oxidant generated by the gaseous oxidant generator to the oxidation reaction device together for an oxidation reaction; subjecting gas obtained after the oxidation reaction to adsorption of exhaust gas and regeneration of an adsorbent in the adsorption and preservation device; and then discharging clean gas out through the fan. The treatment apparatus for exhaust gas produced in production of modified asphalt is high in oxidation efficiency, small in size,low in cost and free of secondary pollution.
