The method comprises steps that abnormal shaft current waveforms of a generator when the bearing bush isin fault are recorded; when the generator set is working normally, ground connection of the second bearing bushes is simulated, and corresponding simulation shaft current waveforms are recorded; thefaulty second bearing bush is determined based on the abnormal shaft current waveforms and the simulation shaft current waveforms. The method is advantaged in that through recording the shaft currentwaveforms when the bearing bush is in fault and comparing with the simulation shaft current waveform of the bearing bushes in a ground connection mode, the source of the shaft current and the faulty bearing bush are determined, subsequent processing of the fault is facilitated, and safety of the PWR nuclear power plant generator set is improved.
