Abstract

The invention discloses an omnidirectional precoding matrix generation method and device for a 3D MIMO system configured with the two-dimensional area array. The method simplifies design of an omnidirectional precoding matrix for a 3D large-scale MIMO system configured with the two-dimensional area array into design of a pair of complementary sequences with constant element modulus and meeting non-zero element position complementation and design of two complementary sequence sets with mutual correlation of zero, wherein all the sequences in the two sequence sets are mutually orthogonal and quadratic sum of element moduli at the same position is a constant. By simply constructing the designed complementary sequences and two complementary sequence sets, the omnidirectional precoding matrix can be obtained. The omnidirectional precoding disclosed by the invention is the same in power in each space direction in a coverage area, power of each antenna is the same, so as to improve radio frequency power utilization efficiency, and precoding matrixes on all the data flows are mutually orthogonal, so as to guarantee spectrum efficiency.
