Abstract

The invention provides a refrigeration and freezing device and a storage container thereof. The storage container includes an electrolytic oxygen removal assembly. The electrolytic oxygen removal assembly is used for consuming oxygen in air in storage space, thereby obtaining gas atmosphere rich in nitrogen and poor in oxygen, which facilitates food preservation, in the space. The gas atmosphere reduces the intensity of aerobic respiration of food (especially fruits and vegetables) by reducing the content of oxygen in the storage space, and ensures basic respiration to prevent the food from anaerobic respiration, thereby achieving the purpose of long-term preservation of the food. According to the invention, the electrolytic oxygen removal assembly also includes a fan which is used for blowing water vapor to an anode plate. A reactant of the anode plate of the electrolytic oxygen removal assembly of the invention is water vapor. The fan continuously blows water vapor to the anode plateto provide the sufficient reactant to the anode plate. The electrolytic oxygen removal assembly does not need to be separately provided with a water source or a water conveying device, which simplified a structure of the electrolytic oxygen removal assembly.
