Abstract

The invention proposes a holographic AR display method based on a conical lens. The method is implemented by a system consisting of a laser, a collimating lens, a spatial light modulator and a beam splitter, and comprises the following five steps of first, extracting the information of a virtual object by a computer to generate a phase hologram of the object; second, using the conical lens to realize holographic display, calculating the focal depth of the conical lens, using the computer to generate the phase information of the conical lens, loading the phase information onto the spatial lightmodulator to achieve large focal depth reproduction; third, superimposing the hologram information of the object with the phase information of the conical lens to produce a final hologram; fourth, using the beam splitter as a combined device for the holographic AR display, and loading the final hologram onto the spatial light modulator, wherein when the spatial light modulator loaded the final hologram is irradiated by laser light, according to the diffraction theory, the reconstructed virtual object image can be seen through the reflection of the beam splitter; and fifth, placing a real object on the other side of the beam splitter, wherein the scene information of the real object can be seen through the beam splitter, thereby realizing the holographic AR display.

Description

[0001] 1. Technical field [0002] The present invention relates to augmented reality (AR) display technology, and more specifically, the present invention relates to an AR display method based on an axicon. [0003] 2. Background technology [0004] With the development of display technology, AR products have been applied to many fields such as video, games, engineering, education, medical treatment and real estate. AR display displays computer-generated virtual images in real-world scenes through AR devices to enhance people's interaction with the world. As one of the typical AR devices based on binocular vision, Google Glass uses spectroscopic mirrors to combine virtual objects with the real world. By adopting an ultra-thin micro-projection lens and installing the micro-projection lens on the helmet, it achieves a weight less than 700 Gram's head-mounted display effect. However, wearing a product based on binocular vision for a long time may cause dizziness and fatigue. A...
