Abstract

The present invention provides a rotor of a rotary electric machine, which can reduce torque pulsation and which has a high degree of design freedom. The rotor is provided with a rotor core having a first rotor core and a second rotor core stacked in the axial direction, and a plurality of magnetic pole portions that are provided at the stator core at predetermined intervals in the circumferentialdirection. The outer peripheral surface of the first rotor core is provided with at least one groove group extending along the axial direction positions symmetrical relative to a center line linkingthe center of the rotor core and the centers of the magnetic pole portions in the circumferential direction. The outer peripheral surface of the second rotor core is provided with at least one groovegroup extending along the axial direction positions symmetrical relative to a center line in the circumferential direction.
