Problems solved by technology

The only disadvantage of water soluble waxes compared to urea wicks is the difficulty of removal
The conventional method of removing water-soluble wax is to soak in dilute hydrochloric acid solution for about 3 to 5 hours, which is very dangerous in the production process and the subsequent water pollution problems
Another method is to use constant temperature hot water to soak for more than 24 hours, the efficiency is very low

Embodiment 1

[0012] A method for removing water-soluble wax, comprising the steps of:

[0013] (1) Take citric acid monohydrate to prepare citric acid aqueous solution, wherein the weight ratio of citric acid monohydrate to water is 1:9;

[0014] (2) Place the wax model with water-soluble wax in the citric acid aqueous solution in step (1), take it out after soaking for 3 hours, and clean it with clean water, and heat the citric acid aqueous solution during the soaking process.

[0015] The water-soluble wax mold and the citric acid aqueous solution in step (2) were heated in a water tank, and a temperature-controllable heating rod was inserted in the water tank, and the temperature of the water tank was set at 26°C.

[0016] This example uses citric acid monohydrate. Compared with other acids, citric acid is convenient for storage and transportation (only moisture-proof and sun-proof), easy to purchase, can eliminate potential safety hazards, and the efficiency has not decreased. It perfe...

Embodiment 2

[0018] A method for removing water-soluble wax, comprising the steps of:

[0019] (1) Prepare an aqueous solution of acetic acid, wherein the weight ratio of acetic acid to water is 1:8;

[0020] (2) Place the wax model with water-soluble wax in the acetic acid aqueous solution in step (1), take it out after soaking for 5 hours, and clean it with clean water, and heat the acetic acid aqueous solution during the soaking process.

[0021] The water-soluble wax mold and the acetic acid aqueous solution in step (2) are heated in a water tank, and a temperature-controllable heating rod is inserted in the water tank, and the temperature of the water tank is set at 24°C.

[0022] In this embodiment, acetic acid is used, and it has been verified that both acetic acid and citric acid can achieve the purpose of quickly removing water-soluble wax.

Abstract

The invention belongs to the technical field of removal of water-soluble wax from complicated melt-casted casting wax molds and particularly relates to a method for removing the water-soluble wax. Except a technical scheme for removing the water-soluble wax, the method comprises the following steps: (1) preparing a water solution of citric acid or acetic acid, wherein the weight ratio of the citric acid or the acetic acid to water ranges from (1 to 8) to (1 to 9); (2) placing a wax mold with the water-soluble wax into the water solution of the citric acid or the acetic acid, prepared in step (1); and after immersing for 3 to 5 hours, taking out the wax mold and washing the wax mold with clean water, wherein the water solution of the citric acid or the acetic acid is heated in an immersionprocess. According to the method for removing the water-soluble wax, provided by the invention, can ensure the production efficiency when the water-soluble wax is safely and efficiently removed, and the melt-casted casting wax molds with good surface quality and high precision are obtained, so that melt-casted castings with high quality are produced.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention belongs to the technical field of removing water-soluble wax from wax molds of complicated casting castings, and in particular relates to a method for removing water-soluble wax. Background technique [0002] At present, for products with complex cavity structures in investment casting, water-soluble cores are used to form some structures that cannot be formed by loose blocks when manufacturing wax patterns, and then the water-soluble cores are removed to obtain the wax patterns actually required by the product. The water-soluble cores used generally include urea cores and water-soluble waxes. The wax mold produced by urea core has poor surface finish, low dimensional accuracy, and has a very obvious pungent smell, so it is rarely used. Water-soluble wax has now become the preferred water-soluble core. The only disadvantage of water soluble waxes compared to urea wicks is the difficulty of removal. The conventional method of removing w...
