Abstract

The invention provides an accurate pairing method for L-type sparse array DOA estimation. The method comprises the following steps that: the autocorrelation matrixes and cross-correlation matrixes of a first subarray and a second subarray are solved; the autocorrelation matrix of a first sub-array virtual optimization array and the autocorrelation matrix of a second sub-array virtual optimization array are calculated; the estimated value of a pitch angle is calculated according to the autocorrelation matrix of the first subarray virtual optimization array; the ambiguous estimated value of an azimuth angle is obtained according to the autocorrelation matrix of the second subarray virtual optimization array and the estimated value of the pitch angle; and the power vector of signals is estimated, the vector is used to solve ambiguity, and two-dimensional DOA estimation and the accurate pairing of the azimuth angle and pitch angle are realized. According to the method disclosed by the invention, the virtual array elements of the sparse arrays are utilized to perform estimation, and therefore, compared with a traditional L-type uniform linear array (ULA)-based estimation method, the method of the invention is greatly improved in degree of freedom and is remarkably improved in DOA estimation performance.
