The invention provides a multi-sensor information fusion power battery thermal runaway early warning method, wherein abnormal offset of the lowest battery cell voltage to average voltage is calculatedthrough real-time monitoring data of battery cell voltage and battery cell temperature, and abnormal offset of the highest cell temperature to average temperature is calculated. Meanwhile, combustible gas concentration and gas pressure are monitored in real time, whether the combustible gas concentration meets a threshold value is judged, and whether the gas pressure meets the threshold is also judged. By comprehensive consideration of parameters above, thermal runaway early warning is executed. Through the method provided by the invention, early warning can be executed for the thermal runaway before the thermal runaway happens, consequently, harm caused by thermal runaway is reduced to a greater extent. The method provided by the invention is beneficial for improving reliability of battery safety management and reducing occurrence of safety accidents of a lithium ion power battery.
