Abstract

The embodiment of the invention provides a geographic positioning method and a geographic positioning system for street view pictures. The method comprises the steps of obtaining a to-be-positioned picture; performing image feature vector extraction on the to-be-positioned picture by using the sorting feature model and the resorting feature model to obtain a sorting feature vector and a resortingfeature vector of the to-be-positioned picture; performing feature matching with a picture feature vector library by using the sorting feature vector and the resorting feature vector to obtain a sorting list; and matching the sorting list with the picture geographic coordinates to obtain estimated geographic coordinates of the to-be-positioned picture. According to the embodiment of the invention,feature vector extraction is carried out on the acquired positioning area picture set. The positioning area picture set is matched with the to-be-positioned picture to obtain the sorting list. Finally, the estimated geographical coordinates of the to-be-positioned picture are calculated, so that accurate geographical positioning of the large-area streetscape picture is realized.
