The reverse osmosis membrane element comprises reverse osmosis membrane sheet groups and a concentrated water pipe, wherein the reverse osmosis membrane sheet groups are rolled on the concentrated water pipe, the concentrated water pipe is provided with first water-passing holes, raw water flow channels ofthe reverse osmosis membrane sheet groups communicate with the first water-passing holes on the concentrated water pipe, raw water inlets of the reverse osmosis membrane sheet groups are located on an end face of the reverse osmosis membrane element, and are located on positions, near an outside face, of the reverse osmosis membrane sheet groups, a width of the raw water flow channels is relatively narrow and a cross-sectional area is relatively small, so that a flow velocity is increased, and the concentration polarization phenomenon is effectively alleviated. Pure water outlets of the reverse osmosis membrane sheet groups are located on the outside face of the reverse osmosis membrane element. Near the concentrated water pipe, a flow velocity of concentrated water in the raw water flowchannels is relatively high, that is to say, a shearing flow velocity of concentrated water ends in the raw water flow channels is relatively high, and thereby the concentration polarization phenomenon at the concentrated water ends is effectively reduced, a pollution rate of the reverse osmosis membrane element is reduced, and thereby reliability of the reverse osmosis membrane element is guaranteed and the service life is prolonged while water production efficiency is improved.
