The method comprises the steps of: detecting conditions of lithium battery packs; performing grouping; screening the battery packs of different groups according to different screening rules, and respectively performing charging and discharging processing; and switching states after charging and discharging meet requirements. According to the system and the method, the phenomena of high capacity instability and easy spontaneous combustion of the existing lithium batteries can be effectively overcome, the lithium batteries can be grouped for independent charging and discharging management, the stability of the high-capacity lithium batteries can beeffectively ensured, simultaneous charging and discharging are avoided, the utilization rate of the batteries can be improved, the safety of the batteries is enhanced, and the service life of the batteries can be prolonged.
