The detection method comprises the steps of: obtaining a DC component amplitude of a common mode voltage of a bus, and obtaining a third harmonic common mode current component amplitude of a power supply branch; judging whether the DC component amplitude of the common mode voltage is greater than or equal to an overvoltage threshold; when the DC component amplitude of the common mode voltage is greater than or equal to the overvoltage threshold, judging whether the third harmonic common mode current component amplitude of the power supply branch is less than an overcurrent threshold; and when the third harmonic common mode current component amplitude of the power supply branch isless than the overcurrent threshold, indicating an ground insulation fault of the power supply branch.
