The method comprises the following steps: firstly, establishing a rim size model and a wheel diameter size model; correcting the rim size model and the wheel diameter size model by using a filtering and clustering algorithm to obtain a typical model curve, and combining the rimsize model and the wheel diameter size model to obtain a wheel set life cycle prediction model; establishing a relation model between the rim abrasion rate and the rim thickness size and between thewheel diameter abrasion rate and the rim thickness size; selecting different wheel flange turning repair thresholds and wheel flange recovery thresholds to randomly simulate a Gaussian process, performing iterative simulation on changes of the wheel flange thickness size and the wheel diameter size, and obtaining expected turning repair times and expected life cycle length according to the wheel set full life cycle model; and finally, in combination with the wheelset life cycle prediction model and the relationship between the wheelset wear rate and the rim size, hybrid turning repair optimization is carried out.
