Embodiment Construction

[0050] The spring-operated brake 1 shown in the figures has, for example, a housing 2 . In the example shown, the housing 2 is advantageously designed in one piece and has an inner housing region 3 and an outer housing region 4 . The inner housing region 3 and the outer housing region 4 preferably form a common sintered body.

[0051] In both exemplary housings 2 , the outer housing region 4 encloses a receiving space 5 for accommodating an electrical coil 19 within the respective housing 2 . In the case of the two exemplary housings 2 , the receiving space 5 in turn surrounds the inner housing region 3 . In both cases, the inner housing region 3 surrounds the shaft insertion 6 for the insertion of the shaft.

[0052] As in both cases shown, the receiving space 5 can have a rotationally symmetrical design with the axis of rotation X of the shaft as the axis of rotational symmetry. The same applies to the surface 7 of the inner housing region 3 delimiting the receiving space...

Abstract

The invention relates to an electromagnetically actuated spring-loaded brake (1) comprising an electric coil (19) for actuating the spring-loaded brake (1), and a braking rotor (15) that can be connected to a shaft, the spring-loaded brake (1) having a braking element (14) to which a spring force is applied and which presses the braking rotor (15) against the mating braking element (10) in order to apply the spring-loaded brake (1). The spring-loaded brake (1) is kept together in a preassembled state by a securing element (16), in particular a clamping ring, which cooperates with a fastening element (17), in particular a screw, in order to fasten the spring-loaded brake (1) to a device, in particular to a drive system.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to an electromagnetically actuatable spring-force brake, a drive system having an electromagnetically actuatable spring-force brake, and a method for installing an electromagnetically actuatable spring-force brake. Electromagnetically actuated spring-force brakes have an electric coil for actuating the brake. The coil generates a magnetic field which acts on the movable braking element. With brakes of this type, the brake is opened or released by the action of an electric field on a movable brake element. In this case, the brake is also referred to as an electromagnetically released spring brake. An advantage over electromagnetic force-based closing and associated brakes is that electromagnetically released spring-force brakes contain auxiliary energy in the event of failure, which is desirable in many applications for safety reasons. Background technique [0002] The friction force necessary for the functioning of the brake is...
