The method comprises the following steps: dividing a riverbank buffer zone into a blocking area and a vegetation area; digging a transition pit with a width of 15-18 m and a slope body inclination angle of less than 30 degrees so as to form the blocking area; planting a plurality of shrubs and herbaceous plants in the slope body, close to a farmland, of the blocking area so as to form a first blocking zone; planting a plurality of arbors, a plurality ofshrubs and herbaceous plants in the flat ground area of the blocking area so as to form a second blocking zone; planting a plurality of shrubs and herbaceous plants on the slope body, close to a riverchannel, of the blocking area so as to form a third blocking zone; and planting a plurality of shrubs and herbaceous plants in the vegetation area close to the river channel, wherein the distance between every two shrubs is 1 m, and the plant height of the shrubs is 1-1.5 m. The method provided by the invention can effectively prevent and control flood of a river in summer from impacting the farmland, and prevents pollutants in rainfall runoff / seepage of the farmland from polluting the river.
