Problems solved by technology

[0004] On the one hand, the reconstruction requires the remodeling of the ribs and sternum, and on the other hand, it needs to restore the movement relationship between the ribs and thoracic vertebrae, which is quite difficult. At present, there is no suitable costovertebral joint reconstruction prosthesis that satisfies the range of motion of the costovertebral joints.

Embodiment Construction

[0018] The present invention will be described in further detail below in conjunction with the accompanying drawings.

[0019] The reconstruction method of the present invention is as follows:

[0020] First, for the defective thoracic spine (see figure 1 ) reconstructed using a spinal fixation system, see figure 2 , that is, after the upper and lower normal vertebral bodies are fixed, a round rod 3 is installed between the upper and lower normal vertebral bodies to connect the upper and lower normal vertebral bodies;

[0021] Then, a rib prosthesis with the same physiological curvature as the rib is prepared. One end of the rib prosthesis is a rib-shaped prosthesis 1 that can be fixed with the residual rib, and the other end is a ring structure 2 nested on the round rod 3 .

[0022] The costovertebral joint obtained by the reconstruction method of the present invention includes a round rod 3 installed between the upper and lower normal vertebral bodies and a rib prosthesis...

Abstract

The invention discloses a costovertebral joint and a reconstruction method thereof. The reconstruction method comprises the following steps of firstly, reconstructing a defective thoracic vertebra byusing a spinal internal fixation system, namely, after fixing an upper normal vertebral body and a lower normal vertebral body, mounting a round bar between the upper normal vertebral body and the lower normal vertebral body to connect the upper normal vertebral body and the lower normal vertebral body; and secondly, preparing a rib prosthesis with the same physiological curvature as the rib, wherein one end of the rib prosthesis is a rib-shaped prosthesis capable of being fixed to the residual rib, and the other end of the rib prosthesis is of an annular structure nested on the round bar. Through the annular structure, the rib prosthesis can simulate the axial movement of the original rib on the round bar. By means of the reconstruction scheme, the costovertebral joint can be reconstructed in the aspects of dissection and function, rib motion is recovered, and respiratory motion of the thorax is not affected. The method is mainly applied to the fields of thoracic surgery, spinal surgery, bone tumor surgery and the like, and is used for repairing and reconstructing costovertebral joint loss caused by various reasons.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to the repair and reconstruction of joint loss caused by thoracic surgery, spinal surgery and bone tumor surgery, in particular to a costovertebral joint and a reconstruction method thereof. Background technique [0002] There are complex articulations between the ribs and the thoracic vertebrae, which can be divided into two joints anatomically, one is the rib head joint, which is composed of the rib head and the vertebral costal cavity, and the other is the costotransverse process joint, which is composed of the rib tubercle The articular surface is composed of the transverse process costal cavity, and these two joints move at the same time to form a joint joint, which satisfies the movement of the thorax with a complex movement axis. [0003] Clinically, there are many reasons for the loss of the costothoracic joint, which are common but not limited to tumors, infections, trauma, etc. In this case, reconstruction of the costove...
