Problems solved by technology

However, during the installation and use of the vehicle-mounted millimeter-wave radar, it is inevitable that the body directly in front of the millimeter-wave radar will be covered by snow, mud or other objects, which is characterized by the radar being blocked, which will cause the radar to miss the target. The detection performance is damaged, and when it is severely blocked, it may even cause the radar to completely fail to detect the target, so that the radar system cannot continue to provide the vehicle with correct environmental perception information and decision-making, and there is a driving hazard

Embodiment Construction

[0028] In order to facilitate the understanding of those skilled in the art, the present invention will be further described in detail below in conjunction with specific embodiments and accompanying drawings.

[0029] Please refer to figure 1 , a preferred embodiment of the present invention is.

[0030] A method for detecting the occlusion status of a vehicle-mounted millimeter-wave radar based on target recognition. The method is based on the speed information of the vehicle, and uses the detectable distance between the ground reflection of the millimeter-wave radar and the absolute static reflector in the environment to analyze the positive and negative effects of the millimeter-wave radar respectively. The number of CFAR detection points that are greater than the detectable distance and less than the maximum detectable distance of the radar system in the two cases are counted based on the speed information of the vehicle in the two cases of foreign object occlusion and no ...

Abstract

The invention relates to a method for detecting the shielding state of a vehicle-mounted millimeter wave radar based on target recognition. The method is characterized by, based on vehicle speed information of a vehicle, by utilizing ground reflection and the detectable distance of the millimeter-wave radar to an absolute static reflector in the environment, respectively analyzing a foreign mattershielding condition and a non-foreign matter shielding condition of a bumper right ahead the millimeter-wave radar; making statistics of CFAR detection point number which is larger than the detectable distance and smaller than the maximum value of the detectable distance of the radar system under such two situations in terms of velocity corresponding to the absolutely static object in the environment; setting a detection threshold value according to the CFAR detection point number, and the determining the result on the basis of the comparison result of the threshold value and the actual CFARdetection target point number in the real-time shielding detection process. According to the method, shielding detection of the vehicle in the static state and the moving state is considered, and shielding condition detection of the vehicle-mounted millimeter-wave radar is effectively achieved; and meanwhile, the method is low in calculation force requirement, the sensing capacity of the vehicle-mounted millimeter-wave radar system to the environment is guaranteed, and the real-time performance of vehicle-mounted millimeter-wave radar application is met.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to the field of communication technology, in particular to a method for detecting the occlusion state of a vehicle-mounted millimeter-wave radar based on target recognition. Background technique [0002] Millimeter wave radar has the characteristics of good directionality, high resolution, and low power, especially frequency modulation continuous wave (Frequency Modulation Continuous Wave, FMCW) radar, which has the advantages of no ranging blind zone and easy miniaturization, making it widely used in the automotive field. It is very popular and has become one of the important devices for the car to perceive the surrounding environment. However, during the installation and use of the vehicle-mounted millimeter-wave radar, it is inevitable that the body directly in front of the millimeter-wave radar will be covered by snow, mud or other objects, which is characterized by the radar being blocked, which will cause the radar to miss t...
