The tail gas collecting and purifying system comprises a wastewater treatment tank, a collecting cavity and a gas collecting bin, wherein the collecting cavity is positioned at the upper part of an inner cavity of the wastewater treatment tank and is defined by coamings; the gas collecting bin is contained in the collecting cavity; a gap is formed in the bottom of the gas collecting bin and communicates with the wastewater treatment tank; a through groove is formed in the gas collecting bin and communicates with the collecting cavity; a diaphragm is arranged in the gas collecting bin and divides the interior of the gas collecting bin into two spaces which do not communicate with eachother, and the through groove is located in the outer wall of the space close to one side of the gap; force is applied to one side, facing the through groove, of the diaphragm to close the through groove; a demister is mounted in the wastewater treatment tank; and the demister consists of a defoaming net arranged on the surface of a liquid level and a movable grid which is positioned at the upperpart of the defoaming net and slides up and down along the wall of the wastewater treatment tank.
