Abstract

A sulfide impregnated solid state battery is provided. The battery includes a battery cell composed of basic battery units. Each battery unit comprises a positive electrode, the positive electrode comprises a positive electrode layer and a net-shaped positive electrode current collector, the positive electrode current collector comprises a conductive material, and the positive electrode is furthercoated with an oxide-based solid electrolyte. Each battery unit also includes a negative electrode including a negative electrode layer and a mesh negative electrode current collector including a conductive material, the negative electrode further coated with an oxide-based solid electrolyte. The positive and negative electrodes are stacked together to form the battery units. And the two coated oxide-based solid electrolyte layers are arranged between the positive electrode and the negative electrode and serve as double diaphragms. Such battery units may be repeated or connected in a parallelor bipolar stacked manner to form the battery cell, thereby obtaining the desired battery voltage, power and energy. Further, the battery cell includes a sulfide-based solid electrolyte dispersed ina pore structure of the battery cell.
