Abstract

The invention provides a method for determining hexabromodiphenyl in ambient air. Two kinds of hexabromodiphenyl in the ambient air are detected at the same time by combining accelerated solvent extraction with gas chromatography. The method comprises the following steps: (1) sample collection: continuously collecting ambient air samples at sampling points by adopting a novel ambient air sampler; (2) extracting hexabromodiphenyl in the sample by adopting an accelerated solvent extractor; (3) purifying a target object by using a solid-phase extraction small column; and (4) detecting the two hexabromobiphenyls in the sample by using a gas chromatographic method, and performing quantifying by using an external standard method. According to the method, two hexabromodiphenyl monomers are selected for an ambient air medium for the first time, and an air sample pretreatment method and a gas chromatography detection and analysis method are established.
