Abstract

The invention discloses a single-stator three-degree-of-freedom spherical ultrasonic motor and an excitation method thereof. The spherical ultrasonic motor comprises a shell, an end cover, N ball plungers, a rotor, an output shaft, a stator and a piezoelectric driving module. The stator comprises an outer ring, an inner ring, a driving ring and M connecting rods. The stator is fixed to the lower end face of the machine shell through the outer ring of the stator. The rotor is spherical, the lower surface of the rotor abuts against the driving ring of the stator, and the upper surface of the rotor abuts against N ball plungers fixed to the lower end face of the end cover. The piezoelectric driving module drives the stator to vibrate so as to enable the rotor to rotate. The single-stator three-degree-of-freedom spherical ultrasonic motor can realize multi-degree-of-freedom rotation motion by means of the rotor, and has the advantages of simple and compact structure, no electromagnetic interference, self-locking in power failure, fast response, flexible adjustment of pre-pressure, high control and positioning precision, easy realization of microminiaturization, wide application field, high energy density and the like.
