Abstract

The object of the present invention is to provide an electrolyzed water production device and an electrolyzed water production method capable of sufficiently suppressing the decrease in pH of obtained electrolyzed water. The electrolyzed water production device includes: a diaphragmless electrolytic cell, which electrolyzes an aqueous solution of chemical substances; a liquid delivery part, which delivers the aqueous solution of chemical substances to the non-diaphragm electrolytic cell; a separating part, which separates components from an effluent discharged from the non-diaphragm electrolytic cell; and a first dilution part, which adds dilution water to the components to be electrolyzed water. The separating part has a space for accommodating the effluent. In the space, the effluent is separated into a residual liquid containing unreacted chemical substances, and a component containing gas generated by electrolysis and primary electrolyzed water generated at a position above the liquid surface of the residual liquid. With the electrolyzed water production device, after electrolysis of the chemical substance aqueous solution, the effluent is separated into residual liquid and components and discharged, and diluted water is added to the components to obtain electrolyzed water.
