Abstract

The embodiment of the invention discloses a beam alignment method and related equipment. Comprising the following steps: receiving a transmitting beam sent by network equipment through a plurality of receiving beams at a current position, and determining a reference signal receiving power (RSRP) of each receiving beam in the plurality of receiving beams; according to the RSRP, selecting an optimal receiving beam from the plurality of receiving beams; according to the optimal receiving beam, determining a rotation angle and a rotation direction required by the terminal equipment for aligning a normal beam with the transmitting beam; and adjusting the position of the terminal device according to the rotation angle and the rotation direction, and forming an optimal beam pair by using the normal beam and the transmitting beam at the adjusted position. By adopting the embodiment of the invention, the transmitting gain or the receiving gain of the terminal equipment can be improved, and the coverage and the mobility of millimeter waves are improved.
